Flowers for You ~

Don’t you love a super simple sketch challenge.  This card was inspired by Freshly Made Sketch FMS234.  The paper was a fun spring theme from the All A Bloom Designer Series paper pack.  The stamp was from Chalk Talk with Island Indigo ink.  I really like the floral pattern with the subtle texture of the bright candy dot embellishments.

Here is the sketch for the challenge. Let me know what you think, I love to see your comments.

Celebrate Your Big Day with Cake

Next week will be here before you know it and my niece will be getting this fun card for her birthday.  She is turning eight next week, and I wanted to celebrate that with the eight candles I stamped on this card.  She is getting her ears pierced for her birthday and I can’t wait to surprise her with some new earrings to add to her collection.  The candles played nicely on the yellow strip for the Freshly Made Design Challenge (FMS233) this week.

These challenges are always fun and can help spark your creativity vs. just starting from scratch.  I added a little texture to this card by using The Chalk Talk framelit and the piercing tool for the border of the tag.  The color combination went together nicely with the  blackberry bliss and the hello honey paper I selected.  I also enjoyed using some fun background paper by adding in a piece of designer paper from the Moonlight Designer Series stack.

Thank you card for a Friend

I wanted to send a quick thank you card to a special friend.  She invited me to be a sub on their monthly bunco night at her home.  Everyone was very friendly and helped me learn this fun game quickly.  I met a lot of lovely new people and it was a really fun night.  The inspiration for this card came from Freshly Made Sketches 232.

I love how the simplicity of the design accentuates the message.  This was my first time using white ink on black.  It has a fun chalkboard feel, I hope she like it ~
