Thank You ~

So much to be thankful for, especially with the weather warming up. It was a beautiful Mother’s Day weekend. This inspiration came from Dawn Olchefske’s Stampin with the Star’s Sketch #DOswts362 . Images were from Cricut Design space and the paper is another favorite from StampinUp’s All Abloom designer Series Series Paper Stack.

The Tassel Was Worth the Hassle ~

Graduation time is almost here. Hard to believe my baby is almost done with high school. The ceremony is expected to be outdoors, fingers crossed for good weather. The layout for this design was inspired from MOJOSKETCH559 from Julee Tilman from Poetic Artistry. I used fun paper from Stampin Up All Abloom designer series paper stack and digital images from Cricut Design Space. Come join the fun at the link above.

First Blooms

MOJOSKETCH 558

The first blooms of spring always make my heart sing. I can’t wait to start visiting the garden center and getting my hands dirty filling my pots with beautiful new plants. This MOJOMONDAY sketch by Julee Tilman inspired me to have some fun with my Stampin Up paper and Cricut. It was a creative day thinking about Mother’s Day and the new blooms I’ll get to enjoy soon. Come join the fun with MOJOSKETCH558!

Flowers for You ~

Don’t you love a super simple sketch challenge.  This card was inspired by Freshly Made Sketch FMS234.  The paper was a fun spring theme from the All A Bloom Designer Series paper pack.  The stamp was from Chalk Talk with Island Indigo ink.  I really like the floral pattern with the subtle texture of the bright candy dot embellishments.

My Flower Fest ~

This weeks Fab Friday challenge inspired me to use my Stampin Up Flower Fest stamp set.  I’m a sucker for flowers and they always put a smile on my face.  By adding a little extra bling made my smile even bigger.  This design was put together easily by just using a few different inks with the same stamp set.  I added interest to the card by cutting out and layering the flowers.  The rhinestones just added that extra special pop. I am inviting my friend to an event at our local botanical gardens and this is the perfect card. No watering needed here ~

Join in the fun and check out the challenge here – Fab Friday 86 Color Challenge.  Soft Sky, Lost Lagoon, Hello Honey & Crumb Cake were the inks used for this project.  I added some dimension by punching out a flower as an embellishment.  I also used paper from the Moonlight Designer Series paper stack.

Take some time for yourself today and smell the flowers.  Here is a peak at the flowers I have been enjoying on my patio.  As always, I love your comments ~

Congratulations Grad

I’m, so excited about the Pals Paper Arts PPA298 challenge.  It inspired me to get moving on some cards that I need to get put together soon.  I have several graduation parties that I will be attending throughout the summer.Watermark-007

This Delicate Doilies stamp set from Stampin Up was just the right fit with its fun patterns.  All the loops and curves make me think of how these grads with be spinning into a new chapter of their life.  Not always knowing what way they will be going, but moving into a beautiful new direction full of possibilities.

I was pleasantly surprised how nice this card turned out. I like all of the vivid colors.  I used real red, tangerine tango, daffodil delight and tempting turquoise as my color ink inspiration. Go check out the challenge and join the fun.  Don’t forget to post a comment, I love your feedback.

Happy Big Day Bow

I have been looking for some fun ways to add a bow to a card.  I love my bow punch from Stampin Up and this challenge helped me to use it.  The inspiration came from the Mojo Monday Challenge 445.  I found a floral pattern to use from the Pretty Petals Designer Series paper stack.  I also used a fun technique with the eraser cap from my pencil to create the dot pattern on the card.  Tangerine Tango and Old Olive ink was used for the dots.  The stamp was selected from Chalk Talk and Mossy Meadow ink was used.

For You

We will be celebrating Administrative Professionals’ Day next week on Wednesday, April 27th at my office.  So I decided to whip up a quick card on MDS.  It was a fun way to participate in this weeks Pals Paper Arts Challenge (PPA297).  We have several very special ladies in our office that I wanted to recognize and I think they will love this lovely and simple card with a touch of bling.

The color combination makes me think of spring.  This card reminds me of the beautiful daffodils that are blooming in my yard.

Celebrate Your Big Day with Cake

Next week will be here before you know it and my niece will be getting this fun card for her birthday.  She is turning eight next week, and I wanted to celebrate that with the eight candles I stamped on this card.  She is getting her ears pierced for her birthday and I can’t wait to surprise her with some new earrings to add to her collection.  The candles played nicely on the yellow strip for the Freshly Made Design Challenge (FMS233) this week.

These challenges are always fun and can help spark your creativity vs. just starting from scratch.  I added a little texture to this card by using The Chalk Talk framelit and the piercing tool for the border of the tag.  The color combination went together nicely with the  blackberry bliss and the hello honey paper I selected.  I also enjoyed using some fun background paper by adding in a piece of designer paper from the Moonlight Designer Series stack.
